Box Pedestal / Riser

The box pedestal is also sometimes called a waterbed riser. It’s available in a standard 9-inch height and is a normal stock item.

Our box pedestal is also available as a quick special order. Select from heights that range from 4” up to 18 inches tall. Brown finish is sometimes to be had, but is more commonly sold in the black finish.

A water bed riser uses either aluminum or plastic corner extrusions to join the outside four boards together forming a rectangular box. This box determines the beds finished standing height, which helps to accomplish different looks for the bed. In addition finding the perfect bed height makes it easier to get into and out of the watrer bed. Within the center of the rectangular shaped box pedestal are various styles of cross supports used to help distribute weight properly to your floor. The H or I pattern are a couple of variations of waterbed cross supports. The Double X X Supports is more commonly used is through out the industry today.
