Air Bed Construction

Fabric

The upholstery you go with on top of the mattress is personal and up to you. Keep in mind it directly affects the comfort of the body. Do you want to feel like you are sleeping on a cloud or feathers while getting the real support your body needs? If this is the case we suggest you look into a pillow top mattresses as an option.

Do you want to feel like you are sleeping on a piece of plywood or the floor? Look for a mattress that has thinner upholstery layers and less of them. Neither one of these choices should lead you to become sleep deprived. To the contrary: you should get the same support from a pillow top mattress, as you will with a regular topped mattress. The number one myth about mattresses is harder is better.

Support & Comfort

The Controls or remote allows you to adjust firmness of air chambers through use of a pump. Inflation and deflation speed and noise can vary. Be sure to see it in operation. Air chambers can be constructed of PVC or a cloth backed rubber. Both are good designs. Better models offer different designs of baffling increasing durability and support. Look for strong sides and be sure to ask about the warranty and what it specifically covers.
