Why You Need A Good Mattress...

Studies have shown 8-9 hours of sleep is what it takes for the human body to repair, replenish and rejuvenate itself. Whatever term you use to describe it, the affects of sleep deficiency can be life altering. When thinking about things that affect ones health the most obvious that comes to mind for most of us is the need to improve our eating habits and improve our physical conditioning with exercise. But studies have shown nothing affects your body more than lack of sleep. Sleep is an essential biological need and is necessary in order to maintain good physical and mental health.

More than 100,000 automobile accidents and 1,500 deaths per year are attributed to drowsy driving. Wall Street Journal reports; there is an estimated 70 billion dollars of lost productivity and mistakes due to fatigued night shift workers. The National Commission on Sleep Disorders Research estimates that in 1990 sleep disorders and sleepiness cost the United States a minimum of $15.9 billion in direct costs.

Realizing that it is time for a new mattress and box spring isn’t always so clear. Similar to your favorite old chair or that worn pair of shoes, your mattress can still feel comfortable long after it has lost its ability to provide your body with the correct support and comfort it needs.
