About Englander

Established in 1894, Englander Sleep Products was founded by Max Englander, of New York. His company was one of the original manufacturers of fine sleep products. Like so many products that started with a simple idea, this quality mattress system was intended to meet the needs of consumers who were looking to achieve a better nights sleep.

Max Englander years later sold his company. Since then Englander Sleep Products has carried on the innovations of its founder. Englander was proud to introduce the first continuous coil unit and started the process of pricing twin and full size sets separately.

Englander marked an industry milestone few companies have; they can take pride in the fact that in 1994 the company celebrated a monumental achievement with its 100th Anniversary. Later that year, Englander launched into Furniture Today's Top 10 Bedding Manufacturers list. Only 2 years later, the company moved up to claim the 7th position in the ranking. The 100% pure, natural rubber “Laytex” mattress by Englander was reintroduced in 1995, and was a primary leader in the revitalizing of a segment of the mattress industry that had fallen dormant. Many manufacturers are following with synthetic blends, however Englander has maintained using its 100% pure natural rubber. For the 21st Century they have achieved 6th position in the bedding industry's Top 10 Companies and has enjoyed over a 26% growth rate making Englander the industry's fastest growing bedding company.

Today Englander’s growth includes 15 manufacturing and distribution centers, 4 of which are international locations offering a diverse line of products designed to meet the various needs & discriminating tastes of today's consumers.
