How Can I Tell When My Mattress is Used Up?
I am starting to notice that my mattress just doesn’t seem to be getting the job done anymore is it used up?
Question:
Is there a way to tell if my mattress is “used up?”
Answer:
Interestingly you have kind of answered your own question.
When it isn’t getting the job done is a pretty good indicator of wear. The mattress is telling you it’s time for a new one. Please understand I am not being critical. You are recognizing and doing the important thing and that is paying attention? If on a regular basis you wake up feeling stiff and sore or maybe you’re not sleeping as well as you have in the past say several months or a year ago, it very well may be time to consider replacing the old mattress you’re currently sleeping on for a new one. According to the Better Sleep Council a person should inspect their mattress at least twice a year for evident signs of tear and wear. It’s important to ask yourself questions like, “am I sleeping better or worse than I did one year ago?” Might a new mattress improve the quality and quantity of my sleep. Performing such regular sleep check-ups if you will, can help make certain that your mattress is still doing its job.
