We are probably going to disagree but beds built 20 years ago were built with about a 10 year useful comfort and support life. Beyond that foams and upholstery wear, steel coils fatigue, and the sanitary aspect of a bed is… not so good after 20 years. Especially if the sheets, & mattress pad or protector aren’t cleaned regularly. Many times in this business people will e-mail me to say they slept in a hotel and loved the mattress. Being in the manufactoring business I appreciate their coments. Yes we make terrific hotel mattresses but many times it's just where the mattress at home is worn out!!! They need to remember, your whole day depends on how you slept last night. The idea behind this blog is to give people some mattress insight. Most of the time people know they really need a new bed; they just need to be reassured that yes something is wrong with their old mattress.
