It's funny, some salesman tried to sell me one of those 99. mattresses he had in his store, they were absolute junk. He said, they were perfect for the kids rooms, and that they would tear them up anyway.
My feelings for 99. dollars they would fall apart without being slept on by the sheer weight of gravity itself. I told him nothing personal but I wouldn't subject my kids to such crap. I believe that if you buy something better to begin with that it should hold up better in the long run, especially knowing that kids at times will be kids an rough house on the bed. I told him that it should to some degree be able to withstand some level of abuse. Needless to say it rubbed me the wrong way and I did not buy it from him. Your article just brought that memory back.
